The Himelbros X F as in Frank collaboration jacket:

F as in Frank discovered bolts of original Polo Country Fireball wool blanket material woven in a mill in Italy and approached us to build blanket/leather jackets in some of our most sought after 30s inspired patterns.  Blanket jackets are a North American tradition stretching back to 1807 when the British Military at Fort St. Joseph commissioned the first ones made from trade blankets to clothe troops marching in the dead of winter to repel the American invaders. By the turn of the century American woollen mills were churning out blankets with distinct references to indigenous patterns of the south west and in turn sewing them into warm Mackinaw style coats.  Himel bros started combining vintage blankets and our pasterns in 2012 and this latest collaboration was the inspiration of the Heifetz brothers and their discovery of these old stock rare 1990s 30's inspired blanket.

The Chevalier Jacket

A jacket which evokes the cavalry jackets of the 18th and 19th centuries, and yet, to contemporary eyes, looks futuristic. Based on an extremely rare 1930s Leathertogs jacket, the Chevalier fuses the look of the knights of old with the modern knights of the iron horse.  The distinct design imitates the Military Regimental tunics of the pre industrial age and updated the style to include the modern invention of the zipper to ride the iron horses of the 1920s and 30s.The leather is Shinki Front Quarter Horsehide.  A full grain, uncorrected Vegetable tanned leather that takes over one year to tan and finish.  The liner is a replica 1930s japanese made Troy wool liner.
